Story
What it is
Hanafuda Legends is a free online Koi-Koi game. Play in the browser or on the Android app; iOS is in review. Eleven languages, ranked seasons, and every deck earnable by playing — nothing behind a paywall.
Why I built it
بدأت رحلتي مع Hanafuda منذ عامين أثناء قراءة كتاب حول العالم في ثمانين لعبة. لقد أسرني التاريخ على الفور — بدءًا من شعبيته بين الجنود اليابانيين في العصور القديمة وحتى حقيقة أن Nintendo بدأت في الأصل كشركة مصنعة لـ Hanafuda!
بعد تشغيل عدد لا يحصى من الإصدارات عبر الإنترنت، قررت إنشاء Hanafuda Legends لتعكس رؤيتي لما ينبغي أن تبدو عليه تجربة Koi-Koi الرقمية الرائدة. هذا المشروع هو عمل محبب، وآمل أن يجلب لك نفس القدر من المتعة للعب كما جلبني للبناء.
What's different
- No signup required to play — ranked, private rooms, vs computer and the tutorial all work without an account.
- 24 artist decks in the gallery, each credited to the people who made them.
- Nintendo-standard Koi-Koi rules with house-rule options (Teshi / Kuttsuki and koi-koi variants).
- Ranked seasons with a physical hanafuda deck as the prize for the season's top player.
