Story

What it is

Hanafuda Legends is a free online Koi-Koi game. Play in the browser or on the Android app; iOS is in review. Eleven languages, ranked seasons, and every deck earnable by playing — nothing behind a paywall.

Why I built it

Мое путешествие с Hanafuda началось два года назад, когда я читал книгу «Вокруг света за восемьдесят игр». Меня сразу же захватила эта история — от ее популярности среди японских солдат в прежние времена до того факта, что Nintendo изначально начинал как производитель Hanafuda!

Поиграв в бесчисленное количество версий онлайн, я решил создать Hanafuda Legends, чтобы отразить мое видение того, как должен выглядеть и ощущаться лучший цифровой опыт Koi-Koi. Этот проект — плод любви, и я надеюсь, что игра принесет вам столько же удовольствия, сколько мне принесло его создание.

What's different

• No signup required to play — ranked, private rooms, vs computer and the tutorial all work without an account.
• 24 artist decks in the gallery, each credited to the people who made them.
• Nintendo-standard Koi-Koi rules with house-rule options (Teshi / Kuttsuki and koi-koi variants).
• Ranked seasons with a physical hanafuda deck as the prize for the season's top player.
