Story

What it is

Hanafuda Legends is a free online Koi-Koi game. Play in the browser or on the Android app; iOS is in review. Eleven languages, ranked seasons, and every deck earnable by playing — nothing behind a paywall.

Why I built it

Hanafuda के साथ मेरी यात्रा दो साल पहले अराउंड द वर्ल्ड इन अस्सी गेम्स नामक पुस्तक पढ़ते समय शुरू हुई थी। मैं इतिहास से तुरंत मंत्रमुग्ध हो गया - पुराने समय में जापानी सैनिकों के बीच इसकी लोकप्रियता से लेकर इस तथ्य तक कि Nintendo मूल रूप से Hanafuda निर्माता के रूप में शुरू हुआ था!

What's different

• No signup required to play — ranked, private rooms, vs computer and the tutorial all work without an account.
• 24 artist decks in the gallery, each credited to the people who made them.
• Nintendo-standard Koi-Koi rules with house-rule options (Teshi / Kuttsuki and koi-koi variants).
• Ranked seasons with a physical hanafuda deck as the prize for the season's top player.
