Deck description

The standard "Hachi-hachi-bana" pattern, along with the card points, name of flower, and name of month in English, printed on western card stock. Originally introduced in 1957 by Nintendo either as an attempt to modernize how people play hanafuda, or to introduce the game of hanafuda to the United States. Other manufacturers also released similar products and exported them. Note: Bright cards are marked with "20" Animal cards are marked with "10" Ribbon cards are marked with "5" Chaff cards are marked with "1"
